Math 8Today you will be solving Systems of Equations using Elimination. Remember the acronym from yesterday was SMASH. So, SMASH your math today! Watch the first video and take notes on page 21 of your packet. The second video will help you with your practice on page 23. Make sure that you work each problem out carefully and take your time. Check your answers below after you finish.
Algebra 1Today's assignment is in Deltamath titled "Alg-Parabolas 5/5". Below is a video that models a problem from each activity. Remember, each Deltamath assignment from this week will be average for one grade. There is a second video that would also be helpful to watch. Math 8This week you get to SMASH your math...that's right, SMASH your math. We will be solving Systems of Equations using a method called Elimination. The acronym that helps us remember the steps is SMASH. S - Standard form, M - Multiply, A - Add, S - Solve, H - substitute to find other Half of ordered pair. I will tell you more about this tomorrow, but for now watch today's videos and take some notes of your own. Tomorrow we will dive into our packet notes and practice. Algebra 1This week we will focus on graphing quadratic functions. Remember that their graph makes a parabola. You can also graph using different forms such as, intercept form and vertex form. Important points that we will look at this week are x-intercepts (also roots, zeros), the vertex (minimum, maximum), y-intercept (when x = 0), and other points on the parabola that make it symmetrical. I'll post a video with me working the problems that you will see in Deltamath each day, and also an extra video that may be helpful and informative. Today's assignment is Deltamath - "Alg-Parabolas 5/4" All the Deltamath assignments from this week will be averaged for one grade in Studentvue, just like last week. |
